— Onboarding kits

Employee onboarding kits new hires actually wear.

An employee onboarding kit, or new hire welcome kit, is a box of branded gear that welcomes someone to your team, and ours are built around apparel people actually wear. Each new hire picks their own sizes, and we pack and ship the kit to their home or office anywhere in the United States. We run it for you, from product picks to the last box out the door.

— Why it works

The right sizes, shipped where they work.

Right sizes

New hires pick their sizes

Each new hire gets a redemption code or an allowance for your company store and chooses their own sizes. No spreadsheets, no guessing, no closet full of extra larges.

Nationwide shipping

Shipped to home or office

Our Charlotte fulfillment partner packs each kit and ships it to the new hire’s home or office anywhere in the United States.

Fast turnaround

Stocked for fast shipping

Core kit items are produced in bulk and kept in stock, so kits ship in 1 to 2 business days after a new hire places their order.

— Kit contents

What to put in a new hire welcome kit.

We build kits around apparel first, then add a few useful extras.

The tee

A tee they'll actually wear

A soft, retail-style tee from brands like Bella+Canvas or Next Level. That tier is our usual recommendation for everyday wear.

The layer

A hoodie or quarter-zip

A hoodie for most teams. For client-facing roles and leadership, step up to a quarter-zip or jacket from The North Face, Peter Millar or Carhartt.

The hat

A hat worth keeping

Embroidered or patch hats, including premium options from New Era.

The extras

Bags, socks and drinkware

One or two useful add-ons from the catalog, picked to match the apparel instead of filling space in the box.

— Retail experience, wholesale access

New hire swag that stays out of the junk drawer.

A lot of onboarding swag gets worn once, then lives in a drawer. Our kits are different because of where we come from. 704 Supply Co. is the company store and bulk apparel business of 704 Shop, the Charlotte apparel brand, and we have sold apparel to consumers for 13 years, so we know what people actually buy, wear and keep.

That shows up in every kit: fewer, better items instead of a box of filler, retail-quality blanks instead of giveaway basics, and designs people would pick for themselves. Weighing a do-it-yourself swag platform instead? See how self-serve and managed programs compare.

— How it works

From signed offer to a box at their door.

Choose the kit

We recommend a focused set of items across good, better and best tiers and send samples before anything is ordered. Send everyone the same kit, or let each new hire choose a set number of items.

Stock the core

Core kit items are produced in bulk, sized to your hiring plan, and stocked with our Charlotte fulfillment partner. Everything else is printed on demand with no minimums.

Send the code

When someone accepts an offer, HR sends them a redemption code or allowance. They pick their sizes, and we pack and ship the kit to their home or office.

Keep using the store

After day one, the same company store handles reorders, work anniversary gear and team orders. Pay by allowance, points, cost center or employee purchase.

What is an employee onboarding kit?

An employee onboarding kit, also called a new hire welcome kit, is a package of branded apparel and gear sent to a new employee before or around their first day. 704 Supply Co. builds kits around apparel, lets each new hire pick their own sizes, and packs and ships each kit to their home or office anywhere in the United States.

Start with apparel people will actually wear: a quality tee, a hoodie or quarter-zip, and a hat. Then add one or two useful extras, like a bag, socks or drinkware, and stop there. Fewer, better items get worn, while a box of filler ends up in a drawer.

New hires choose their own sizes in your company store, using a redemption code or an allowance you set up for them. HR doesn’t have to collect sizes in a spreadsheet, and every redemption shows up in store reporting, with Excel and PDF exports.

Yes. Each kit is packed and shipped individually to the new hire’s home or office anywhere in the United States, so remote and multi-location hires get the same welcome as people at headquarters.

Kits built from stocked items ship in 1 to 2 business days after the order is placed. Print-on-demand items ship in 7 to 10 days. If kit items need a new bulk run, production takes 2 to 3 weeks after art approval, with rush available for many orders.

No, but a store is the easiest way to run kits for ongoing hiring. It lets each new hire pick their sizes, and after day one the same store handles reorders and anniversary gear. For a one-time group, like a class of new hires starting together, we can produce a bulk order and pack and ship a kit to each person.

We do. Kit items are stored with our Charlotte fulfillment partner, which packs each kit and ships it, so you don’t need storage space or staff to pack boxes.

There’s no order minimum for print-on-demand kit items. Core items we stock for fast shipping are produced in bulk runs sized to your hiring plan, whether that’s 100 to 500 pieces or 1,000 or more.

Every kit program is quoted up front, based on the items in the kit, the brand tier, your hiring volume, whether we stock inventory, and integrations like single sign-on. Products are priced per item using our good, better and best tiers, and typical per-piece ranges are on our bulk orders page.
