— Compare your options
Self-serve platforms vs. a managed apparel partner.
Quick answer: Use a self-serve platform for small, simple orders when you already know exactly what you want. Use a managed partner like 704 Supply Co. when the order is large, the timeline matters, the gear represents your brand, or it has to reach many people or locations.

— When each one fits
Which one fits your order?
100+ pieces or a hard deadline
Use a managed partner
Product advice, proofs and one team owning the timeline pay off on bigger, brand-critical orders.
Ongoing or remote teams
Use a company store
Employees order their own sizes whenever they need them, and we handle storage and shipping.
A few dozen pieces
Self-serve works fine
A simple logo, a product you already know and a flexible date. A self-serve site is quick and easy for that.

— How it works
How a managed order comes together.
We Connect
The process starts with a conversation about what you need, when you need it, and what you’ve tried in the past. We’re not running through a script. We’re trying to understand your situation so we can give you useful recommendations rather than generic options.
We Curate & Design
Based on what we learn, we put together product recommendations that fit your use case, your team, and your budget. We handle the artwork setup and walk you through proofs before anything goes to production. If something isn’t going to work, we’d rather tell you upfront than let it become a problem after the fact.
We Manage Production
Once you sign off on the proof, we manage production with our network of trusted print and embroidery partners. We keep you posted through production, and anything that arrives damaged or wrong is replaced at no cost.
We Deliver
Orders go out however works best for you. Single delivery to your office, split across multiple locations, individually to each employee’s address, or kitted and packaged before they ship. We sort out the logistics and send you tracking so you always know where things stand.

Is a managed partner more expensive than a self-serve platform?
Not always. A basic screen-printed tee at a few hundred pieces typically runs $8 to $12 per piece with us, which is in the same range as many self-serve sites. The bigger savings usually come from fewer reprints, fewer unworn pieces and less staff time spent fixing orders.
Can you recreate gear we ordered from another platform?
Yes. Send us the artwork and tell us what you ordered before. We’ll recommend blanks and decoration that hold up better, and you’ll approve a proof before anything goes into production.
What if we only need a small order?
Our bulk orders usually run 100 pieces or more, and that’s where we save you the most. For a handful of simple shirts with no deadline, a self-serve platform may honestly be the easier choice, and we’ll tell you so. For smaller ongoing needs, a company store uses print on demand, with no order minimums.
How do you check quality?
Quality starts before production. We recommend proven blanks, send a digital proof for every order and can send samples for larger orders. If anything arrives damaged or wrong, we replace it at no cost.
Do you only work with companies in Charlotte?
We’re based in Charlotte but we ship nationally and have worked with organizations across the country. Being local is a bonus for clients in the area, but it’s not a requirement.
Which option works with Coupa and single sign-on?
Integrations vary by platform. 704 Supply Co. company stores support Coupa punchout and single sign-on through Microsoft Entra ID and other SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect providers. With any provider, plan around your own IT team’s schedule, since integrations need their participation.
What about company store software?
Store and swag software gives you a storefront and checkout, but your team still chooses products, manages inventory and answers employee questions. It works well if you have someone in-house to run it. If you don’t, a managed company store handles all of that for you.
Can we start self-serve and move to a managed program later?
Yes. Many organizations start with one-off orders and move to a managed program once orders become regular or the team grows. We can bring over your existing artwork and best-selling items.
